Repair AquaStop - how it works
If an AquaStop is defective, you should not repair it yourself. This is a case for the specialist. We'll show you how to check the component and when to call the professional.
Check AquaStop yourself before repairs
The first sign of a defect in the AquaStop area is when the dishwasher or washing machine stops drawing water.
- Turn on the home appliance if you hear a hiss. This sound is caused by the water flowing in at that moment. If you don't hear anything, this may indicate an error in the AquaStop.
- However, there are other causes that prevent water intake. Therefore, you should first check whether the hose for the water supply is kinked.
- The corner valve could be another source of error. Check this by screwing on the valve, removing the AquaStop and placing a bucket under the corner valve. Now turn it up if a powerful jet of water comes out.
- If this is the case, there is a problem with the AquaStop. Finally, you can test whether it buzzes and vibrates slightly when the household appliance is switched on. If you feel and hear that, at least the solenoid valve in the component is probably OK.
- The pneumatic valve has probably not reset. Under no circumstances should you try to solve this problem yourself. The component is under power. The repair must therefore only be carried out by a specialist.
