The transmitter frequency from ARD
The ARD station frequency differs depending on whether you are looking for Das Erste in HD or SD quality via satellite (DVB-S) or via cable (DVB-C) or whether you want to receive Das Erste via DVB-T. We explain the differences between DVB-T and DVB-S in detail in a special practical tip.
- DVB-S: ARD HD is received via the Astra-1N satellite. The downlink frequency is 11.49375 GHz.
- DVB-S: All other satellite data can be found on the ARD HD website, both for Das Erste HD and for the other public high-definition television channels.
- DVB-S: ARD SD can be received via the Astra-1N satellite at 19.2 degrees East. The downlink frequency is 11.8365 GHz. ARD SD, the first in standard picture quality
- DVB-S: All other satellite data can be found on the ARD SD website for Das Erste SD and for the other public service broadcasters in standard definition.
- DVB-S: You can get an overview of all stations and frequencies on the ASTRA website.
- DVB-C: You can find the channel and frequency of ARD HD and SD for each state on the Vodafone Cable Helpdesk page. "ARD" is not listed here, look for "Das Erste" instead.
- DVB-T: An overview of all DVB-T programs in each federal state, including station name, channel, frequency, power, polarization and directional characteristics, location coordinates and data rate per station location can be found on the website of the Institute for Broadcasting Technology.
- DVB-T: If, despite this information, you cannot find a station, you should not give any practical advice on a DVB-T signal.
- Internet: Alternatively, you can also use the ARD livestream or watch TV online according to our practical tips.
