Arduino Nano: All information about power consumption
If you want to run your Arduino Nano around the clock, you should find out about the power consumption beforehand. We clarify it.
Power consumption and cost of the Arduino Nano
Compared to other microcontrollers, the Arduino Nano has a very low power consumption. However, the power consumption is not always the same.
- In normal operation, the Arudino Nano consumes around 25 mA. If the Arduino switches to standby mode, only around 7.5 mA are used.
- If you connect additional components to the Arduino, the power consumption will of course also increase. You can read the actual power consumption with a multimeter.
- If the Arduino runs day and night with a voltage of 5 volts, a current of 25 mA results in about 30 cents in electricity costs per year.
In the next practical tip we will explain to you what the difference between Arduino and Raspberry Pi is.
