Receive Arte - how it works
You can receive the German-French broadcaster Arte via satellite, cable, DVB-T and on the Internet. We have summarized all reception options in our overview.
Arte received: This is how it works via satellite
- With a digital receiver, you only have to start a channel search and you will also receive Arte.
- Alternatively, you can search for Arte directly using the manual search. For this you need the following information: Astra 1 - 19.2 degrees East, downlink frequency: 10744 MHz, symbol rate: 22000, error protection (FEC): 5/6, polarization: horizontal.
- Note that the French-speaking channel is called ARTE (upper case) and the German channel is called arte (lower case). You can change the language manually on many TVs.
Arte received via cable and DVB-T
- Arte sends its program unencrypted so that you can receive it from any cable provider. Depending on the provider, however, Arte is in a different place.
- You can also receive Arte via DVB-T in some regions of Germany, for example in Berlin and Brandenburg.
Attention: Analog television is abolished here
Arte in the livestream - here it goes
- At TV Spielfilm you get the complete program from Arte as a live stream.
- Alternatively, you can also use Zattoo or Magine.
- If you missed a program, you can usually find it in the Arte Mediathek for 7 days.
On the next page we show how you can place Arte differently on the channel list.
