Assassin's Creed: main parts of the series at a glance
Assassin's Creed is divided into two sections: main series and subtitles. The main series is the main focus of the story and is mainly published on the current consoles and the PC.
- Assassin's Creed: The first part appeared in 2007 and lets players control the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad in the Holy Land (Palestine) at the time of the 3rd Crusade (1191).
- Assassin's Creed II: Released in 2009, this part follows the story of the young assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze, who lived in Florence during the Renaissance in the 15th century.
- Assassin's Creed Brotherhood: This part was released in 2010 and follows Ezio Auditore da Firenze to Rome, where he works against the powerful Borgias family.
- Assassin's Creed Revelations: In 2011, Ezio went one last time to the Holy Land and to Constantinople (today's Istanbul) to find the Eden apple.
- Assassin's Creed III: Released in 2012, this part follows the Indian Ratonhnhaké: ton, called Connor, who fought against the Templars in the North American west during the American War of Independence (1753 to 1783).
- Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag: 2013 is followed by the part about Edward Kenway, a British pirate who only coincidentally became an Assassin in the Caribbean during the Golden Pirate era.
- Assassin's Creed Rogue: As the last part of the Kenway saga (2014) in the USA, the player Shay Patrick Cormac, a budding Templar, controls in North America at the time of the Seven Years' War (1754 to 1763).
- Assassin's Creed Unity: Unity (2014) takes place in Paris during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century and follows the young Arno Victor Dorian in uncovering numerous fortunes of the time.
- Assassin's Creed Syndicate: Syndicate was released in 2015, telling the story of siblings Evie and Jacob Frye in Victorian London during the Industrial Revolution.
- Assassin's Creed Origins: In 2017 Assassin's Creed went with Origins to Ancient Egypt and follows the main character Bayek of Siwa when the original Assassin Order was founded.
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey: 2018 saw the release of Odyssey, which takes place in ancient Greece during the Peloponnesian Wars (April 25, 431 BC to 404 BC) and either followed the character Kassandra or Alexios.
Assassin's Creed Games off the main line
These titles are games that are mainly available on handheld consoles. Some of them are less important for the general story, but they connect some main parts.
- Assassin's Creed: Altaïr's Chronicles: This Nintendo DS title was released in 2008 and is playing at the same time as the first part.
- Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines: Bloodlines was released for PSP in 2009, is about Altaïr again and is a link between the first and second parts of the series.
- Assassin's Creed II: Discoveries: This part was released for the Nintendo DS in 2009 and follows Ezio Auditore 14 years after the events of the second part to stop a Templar threat in the New World.
- Assassin's Creed III: Liberation: Liberation was launched for PS Vita in 2012 and is about the first playable female character Aveline de Grandpré at the time of the Seven Years' War in Louisiana.
- Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China: This game was released in 2015 and is about a Chinese student Ezios, Shao Jun, who worked in 16th-century Beijing.
- Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India: In 2016 the second part of the Chronicles series came out, which Arbaaz Mir pursued as protagonists in the Sikh Empire (1799 to 1849) in 1841.
- Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia: The third part of the Chronicles series was also launched in 2016 and deals with the aftermath of the October Revolution of November 7, 1917 and the assassin Nikolaï Orelov.
