Audacity: microphone does not work - what to do?
- Directly under the record button you will find the currently used microphone in Audacity. Check here whether Audacity has selected the right microphone.
- A little further to the right you will find a microphone symbol. This is the recording volume. Adjust this up a bit.
- If that doesn't help either, open the Control Panel and select the "Sound" from the "Hardware and Sound" category. Switch to the "Recording" tab, select the desired microphone and click on the "Configure" button. The volume can also be increased under "Level".
