Audacity: Create keyboard shortcuts - how it works
In Audacity you can create your own shortcuts and edit sound files more easily with the keyboard shortcuts. How exactly you define the shortcut keys can be read in this quick guide.
Define key combinations for Audacity - this is how you proceed
- In the "Edit" tab, open the last menu item "Settings" (shortcut: Ctrl + P).
- Then navigate to the "Keyboard" sub-item: Here you will find all active key combinations.
- Select an Audacity command and enter the desired combination in the input line, for example "Ctrl + 1" (without spaces).
- Then click on "Apply": The shortcut now appears next to the command in the shortcut overview. If you call up the command again in the overview, you can delete or change the abbreviation.
- Finally you have to confirm all changes with "OK".
