If you want to listen to Audible audiobooks on Google Home, there are several ways to get there. We show you the two simplest variants in this practical tip so that you can enjoy your audio books without headphones.
Listen to Audible on Google Home with Cast
You can download audiobooks from Audible and then play them on the Google Home smart speaker.
- Log in to your WiFi network with your mobile phone. Your Google Home speaker must also be in this.
- Open the Google Home app on your smartphone and open the menu by tapping the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner.
- Select the "Cast Screen / Audio" option here. In the next step, select the Audible audiobooks you want to play on the Google homepage.
- However, this method only works with Android devices. If you have saved your audiobooks in iTunes or Apple Music, Google Home cannot play them.
Transfer Audible via Bluetooth to Google Home
Use the Bluetooth function of your smartphone to play your Audible audiobooks on Google Home.
- First, pair your phone with Google Home. To do this, tap on "Devices" in the Google Home app.
- In the device list, select the Google Home speaker you want to connect to your phone.
- In the top right corner of the device list view, tap the menu and navigate to "Settings -> Paired Bluetooth devices -> Activate" to activate the pairing mode.
- In this way, you can now also use Spotify on Google Home in addition to the Audible app.
