Change eye color with Gimp - how it works
With Gimp you can change the eye color of a portrait in just a few steps and thus achieve crazy effects. But of course you can also remove red eyes.
Change eye color with gimp - effect or correction
- Open the picture in Gimp. Zoom in on your eyes to make editing easier.
- Select the lasso symbol in the toolbar. Click on the edge of the iris and repeat until you have "captured" the entire iris. You close the selection by placing the last point on the starting point.
- To avoid borders and edges, you should soften the selection. To do this, go to "Selection>" Hide "in the menu. In our example we set a value of 7 px.
- Then navigate in the menu to "Colors> Filter package".
- You can now change the eye color in the dialog window: By changing the values of "Hue", "Saturation" and "Value" (brightness), the respective setting options appear. Try the settings until you find the shade you want.
- Finally, confirm the changes with "OK".
