Find iPhone off: is that possible?
Misfortunes never come singly. So it can happen that you lose your iPhone and the battery is almost empty. As soon as the cell phone goes out, the normal location no longer works. No need to panic: there is a solution to this problem too.
- First things first: To be able to find your iPhone at all, the "Find my iPhone" function must be activated on the device. The function has been activated at the factory since iOS 8. You can turn on the option under "Settings -> iCloud -> Find my iPhone" using the slider.
- Under this slider you will find the item "Send last location". Turn on the option, your iPhone will send its last location as soon as the battery charge reaches the critical area.
- You can now locate this last location using any iOS. To do this, use the "Find my iPhone" app. You will need your Apple ID and password for this.
- Alternatively, you can search for your iPhone on the Apple website iCloud. Here, too, you need your Apple ID and the associated password for the search.
- You won't get the current location when the iPhone is switched off, but at least the last location before it was switched off. At least that's an indication of where you lost your phone.
