In this practical tip, we will show you how you can resolve a block in AutoCAD.
Dissolve block in AutoCAD
With the vector-oriented drawing program "AutoCAD" from "Autodesk" you can create technical constructions and drawings. In AutoCAD, you can use the "Connect" command to connect individual objects to a common block so that you can continue working with it better. To break this block reference back into its individual parts:
- Start AutoCAD and first open your technical drawing.
- Now use the left mouse button to mark the individual block in your drawing that you want to break down into its components.
- Now go to the "Start" tab in the top left menu bar and click on the "Change" option.
- In this command tool box you will find a disassembled cube, which stands for the command "origin" (see picture). Click this icon to make changes to you. The opposite command "Connect" can also be found in this command box.
- Alternatively, you can also enter the "ORIGIN" or "EXPLODE" command in the command bar directly after you have marked it to save time.
