AutoCAD: Set decimal places - how it works

With the AutoCAD drawing program you can create and dimension complex drawings. This article explains how you can set decimal places for your dimensions in AutoCAD.
Set decimal places in AutoCAD
You can also dimension your technical drawings with the vector-based drawing program AutoCAD. How to set the decimal places individually for your dimensions:
- Start AutoCAD and open the drawing.
- Then use the keyboard to enter the "Dimstyle" or "Dimension style" command in the lower input bar. A new window opens with the title "Dimension Manager" (see picture).
- Click the "Change" button. Now a window opens again.
- On the "Primary units" tab, you can set the number of decimal places for the dimension under "Accuracy".
- Finally save your settings by clicking "Ok".
Did you know: After you have completely labeled your drawing, you can have it displayed on different scales.
