AutoCAD: Change language - how it works
To change the language in AutoCAD, you must first download the respective language pack. You can find this directly within the program that redirects you to a website. In this practical tip, you can read exactly how to proceed.
AutoCAD: Download the language pack and change the language
- In AutoCAD, click the small arrow next to the question mark at the top right to open the Help menu. Here you select "Download Language Packs". You will now be directed to the Autodesk download page.
- Make sure that the language pack you want is designed for the version of Autodesk you are using. Select the respective language and download the file to your computer.
- Open the file with a double click. and extract the content to the default folder "C: \ Autodesk". The installer will guide you through the entire process until the language pack is installed.
- Download the "Autodesk Content Service 2013 Language Pack Hotfix" with which you can change the language. You can also find this on the download page for language packs - scroll down a bit here and select the file "contentserviceinstaller_multilingual.zip". Unzip the ZIP file and run the Setup.exe contained in it with a double click. Run through the installation program until the end.
- To start AutoCAD in the selected language, open the program selection at the bottom left. Here you will find various links for the respective language packages, such as "AutoCAD Architecture 2013 - German". Open the program as usual.
