Cars in Sims 4: you need to know

In "The Sims 4" you see cars passing by again and again. Many are wondering whether it is possible to drive or own your own cars. We clarify this question in the practical tip.

Can you drive cars in "The Sims 4"?

In the predecessor "The Sims 3" it was still common to buy a vehicle using the purchase mode. This is no longer possible in "The Sims 4".

• Cars also drive through the neighborhood in the fourth part of the ledge, but they cannot be used. Your Sim cannot buy or drive a car.
• If you still want to have a car, you can install a mod. With the "Ownable Cars" mod, you can purchase vehicles in purchase mode and place them on the property. Your Sims can travel with one click on the car, but cannot drive it. Rather, it is an object that can be placed on the plot of your Sims and at the same time creates different moods when traveling.
