In this practical tip, you can read how to completely deactivate the autostart programs.
Windows - completely remove startup programs via regedit
In Windows 7 go to the Windows logo at the bottom left and type "regedit" (without quotes) in the search field. Click on the program found. In Windows 8, write "regedit" in the app menu and also select the program found.
- In the left display click on "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" -> "Software" -> "Microsoft" -> "Windows" -> "Current Version" and then on "Run".
- Autostart programs are shown in the right display.
- With the right mouse button click on the entry of a program and click on "Delete".
- Confirm with "Yes".
Windows - Startup programs with msconfig
If you search for "msconfig" instead of "regedit" and click on the program found, you can also manage your autostart programs.
- Under the "System start" tab, remove the check marks next to the programs that should not be run at system start.
- Save the changes with "OK".
By the way, you can also stop sending the problem and error reports to Microsoft on Windows.
