Installation of avast! WebRep
- avast! WebRep is a browser plugin that is installed when installing avast! Antivirus is installed.
- In the avast! you can go to "Web Protection" via "Settings" -> "Active Protection". You can switch the service on or off there or configure it using the gear icon.
- In the settings you can, for example, deactivate the web check or block the blocking of malware URLs.
avast! Webrep in the Google search engine
- Open your browser. avast! Webrep is compatible with Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer.
- Go to google.de and start a search.
- A security status is now displayed next to the search results.
- The color of the indicator shows you whether a page is safe. Green stands for good, yellow for average and red for bad.

- If you are on a website, you will find the avast icon on the right of your browser in the task bar. Click on it.
- The avast! WebRep assessment.
- You will be shown whether the website allows, for example, an internet visitor analysis and whether the page is blocked for social networks.
- If you click on "Learn more", you will be shown whether malware or phishing was found on the site.
- Click "Rate Now" to rate the site yourself. You can choose between positive or negative here.
