If you want to create a DVD from your finished video project, proceed as follows:
- Click on "Auto" in the menu bar and select "dvd". Then confirm with "OK".
- Choose File> Information. The frame rate should be either 29, 970 or 23, 976. If not, click "Video"> "Filters" in the menu bar. Use the "Resample FPS" filter to manually adjust the frame rate to one of the values mentioned.
- Under "Video Output" click on the "Configure" option and then select the "Advanced Settings" tab. Make sure that the maximum bit rate does not exceed 9.8 Mbit / s.
- Select a suitable audio codec, such as "AC3 (Aften)" and set the resampling to 48 kHz under "Audio Output"> "Filters".
- Under "Output Format" click on the option "Mpeg-PS Muxer (ff)".
- Save your project as an MPG file. The conversion process can take several minutes.
- The video is now in the correct format to be burned to a DVD. To finalize the DVD, burn the file onto an writable DVD using an authoring tool such as WinX DVD Author.
