Change start options of Avira

Open "Services"
Search for Avira services and check the respective start type
After clicking on "Properties" you can now set the start type
To have Avira start automatically at system start, you should check the Avira start options.
- Open the Windows search bar, type in "Services" and open the search result of the same name.
- Search for Avira and check whether all services are set to "Automatic" for the start type.
- If not so, right-click the service and click Properties. You can then switch on the "Automatic" option under "Start type".
- Do this with all Avira services.
Deactivate AntiVir Guard

Click "Real Time Protection"
Disable real-time protection
Open Windows Explorer and display hidden files. Open the file path "C: \ ProgramData \ Avira \ Antivirus". Delete the folder "EVENTDB"
- Open Avira and click on "Real-time protection" on the start page. You can now deactivate the protection by clicking on the slider.
- Open Explorer and then enable Windows to show the hidden files.
- Open the directory "C: \ Program Data \ Avira \ Antivirus \". Delete the "EVENTDB" folder here.
- Then activate the real-time protection again. After restarting the PC, the problem should be resolved.
Reinstall Avira
If the problem is not yet resolved, you should reinstall Avira on your computer.
- First uninstall the program.
- You can now download the program from our download area and reinstall it.
