Your oven's baking sheet will be exposed to many types of stubborn fats and other baked scraps in the course of its existence. But not only can you get expensive cleaning agents from the supermarket, you can also clean the tin, simple household remedies can do that too. These can be found in many households and are also not expensive.
- Be it a cake, a pizza or a pasta bake - it cannot be avoided that food residues get stuck in your oven, often even burn in.
- The best way to combat heavy dirt is to remove it straight away. But you don't have the time to do this after every baking process. Cleaning in a certain time cycle can be helpful.
- The oven and baking sheet absolutely need regular cleaning, otherwise the fats and leftovers burn themselves deeper into the sheet each time they are heated and baked. You can find tips on cleaning the oven in another article.
- One important thing in advance: never take a steel brush. You would scratch the surface material of the baking sheet with the wire bristles. Grooves then form in the oven coating, into which fats and liquids such as cream can penetrate deeper. Knives, steel wool and other hard cleaning devices are also taboo. You should also not consider chemical clubs for cleaning.
Instructions for baking tray cleaning - it works with these household remedies
A little help for you and the later plaster is to wipe the baking sheet well after use with a slightly wet cloth. Correctly cleaning the baking sheet will take less time later.
- Shaving foam: Spread it well on the baking sheet and give it about 30 minutes of exposure. Then wash it down with a coarse sponge under running water. Please note that the sponge should not contain any metal. Usually you only dissolve the coarse and large fat residues the first time and have to repeat the process.
- Baking powder: Baking powder is an all-purpose weapon in the kitchen and can also be used on the baking sheet. Mix a packet of baking soda with a little water until a paste forms. - Lemon juice: With lemon, you not only clean the baking sheet, but also the entire oven. Simply place a heat-resistant bowl with water and a few splashes of lemon in the oven and heat it to 100 degrees. Once the liquid has evaporated, you can simply wipe off the dirt with a damp cloth.
- Dishwasher tab: If the baking sheet does not fit in the dishwasher, add hot water to the baking sheet and a dishwasher tab. If the tab has dissolved, incrustations also dissolve.
- Salt: Put salt on the baking sheet, about an inch thick, and heat it in the oven to 100 degrees. Then pour the salt from the baking sheet and wipe with a damp cloth.
