Train: use delay alarm - how it works
If you would like to be kept informed about your train connection, you can use the free delay alarm from Deutsche Bahn. We'll show you how it works on your cell phone and PC.
iOS & Android: use the train's delay alarm
Note: Please note that the delay alarm is not always available for very short-term bookings. To use the function, you need a free Bahn.de account.
- First download the free "DB Navigator" app and open it on your smartphone.
- Enter the desired rail connection and select the appropriate one.
- If you would like to book the trip beforehand, tap on "To book". You can activate the delay alert before completing the purchase.
- If you don't want to book the trip via the app, tap the smaller gray button to the right of the red button.
- Select the "delay alarm" here and then log in to your rail account.
- The alarm is now selected for the connection. Commuters can set a permanent alarm below.
- If you confirm two more times with "Next", the alarm is set up. You will receive a message via the app in the event of delays.
Set up delay alarm of the train on the PC
The following instructions show you how to set up the alarm for any connection. Alternatively, you can activate the alarm at the end of your ticket purchase.
- Open the website of the train and search for the available connections.
- If you click the arrow to the left of the connection, the "delay alarm" is visible.
- If you log in, you can also activate the commuter alarm in the next step.
- If you click the "Next" button, the delay alarm will be activated for you. In the event of delays, you will receive an email directly.
