Base: lock the SIM card - how it works
If your phone has disappeared, you should play it safe and have your SIM card blocked. We will explain how you do this as a Base customer here.
Base: How to lock your SIM card
As a Base customer, you have two options if you want your SIM card blocked. You can have them blocked online or by hotline.
Block Base SIM online
If you are registered on the website, you can simply log in to your account.
- After logging in, click on the "My SIM card" menu item.
- Here you will receive all the important information about the card and can also block it by clicking on the corresponding red button.
- In the next step you can also order a new SIM card for the same number.
Block the SIM card via the base hotline
Alternatively, you can call the Base customer hotline directly.
- If you have a base contract, call this number: 0163 163 1140.
- As a prepaid customer, use this number: 0177 177 1147.
- And as a Base Go customer, you can reach customer service here: 0177 177 1144.
If you have blocked your SIM card, you will get a new one soon. You have to activate the new SIM at Base.
