Base: Swap SIM card - how it works
Under certain circumstances, you will have to exchange your Base SIM card for a new model. We will explain when a new card is necessary and how you should proceed in this case.
When a new SIM is needed
First of all, it is important whether you need a new SIM card at all:
- If you only need a different form factor, you do not need to order a new card from Base.
- Base usually ships the cards in triple SIM format. This means that the card formats are pre-cut. If you want to switch from a micro-SIM to a nano-SIM, simply remove the surrounding punch from the card (see picture).
- The same procedure applies when changing from normal SIM format to micro SIM.
Request a new SIM card from Base - how it works!
It looks different if you have lost or damaged your card. In this case you have to request a new card from Base:
- To do this, log in to Base with your user data (see screenshot).
- After logging in, click on the "My SIM card" menu item. Here you will also find a button with which you can request a new card. Then follow further instructions.
- In the same menu, you can also have your old Base SIM card blocked directly.
- Unfortunately, losing the card is not cheap. Contract customers will pay a full € 15 for a new card
