Batman Arkham Knight is jerky - you can do that
Thanks to its elaborate graphics, Batman: Arkham Knight stutters even on many gaming systems. In addition, the game on the PC has had to deal with massive problems since launch, which lead to poor performance. In this article you will read what you can do about the stutters.
Batman: Arkham Knight jerky - general information
- Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card installed. Nvidia has optimized its driver version 353.30 (32-bit, 64-bit) especially for Batman: Arkham Knight, owners of an AMD graphics card should use the hero drivers for the beta drivers 15.6 (32-bit, 64-bit) to grab.
- Close all applications that are not absolutely necessary, as they take up unnecessary memory. Game boosters from Razer can also be useful for this. Then test whether the game runs better now.
- Temporarily switch off your virus scanner and software firewall to see if the stutters are reduced.
More tips for stuttering in Batman: Arkham Knight
- Warner Bros. recommends that you do not make any manual changes to the game's INI files.
- Do not set a fixed size for the swap file, but let Windows manage it automatically.
- If you have installed an SSD hard drive in your PC, you should install Batman: Arkham Knight on this and not on a mechanical hard drive, as this can noticeably improve the performance.
- The game does not currently support AMD Crossfire or AMD Eyefinity, so both should be disabled.
- Nvidia SLI users should set a graphics card as a dedicated PhysX card. To do this, right-click on an empty area on the desktop and select "NVIDIA Control Panel" from the context menu. Go to the "Configure Surround, PhysX" area and select a GPU as processor for PhysX.

The game uses at least an Intel Core i5-750 (2.67 GHz) or an AMD Phenom II X4 965 (3.4 GHz), 6 GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 (2 GB) or an AMD Radeon HD 7950 ( 3 GB) ahead. For such a system, Warner Bros. recommends the following graphics settings:

However, we recommend a PC that meets these requirements: an Intel Core i7-3770 (3.4 GHz) or an AMD FX-8350 (4.0 GHz), 8 GB RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 (3 GB). If so, Warner Bros. advises the following settings:

Batman: Arkham Kinght still jerky - what to do?
