Battlefield 1: This is how the operations work
Operations are the new game mode in Battlefield 1. We explain how this works in our article.
These are operations in Battlefield 1
A picture overview of operations can be found in the picture gallery below this article.
- Generally, operations are missions that are divided into several phases.
- These phases are strongly reminiscent of a real war plan, which gives the game even more realism.
- Operations always has at least one punk you are fighting for.
- There are two teams: the attackers and the defenders.
- The attackers have tickets that they lose on death.
- In addition, the attackers have waves of attack, more specifically battalions.
- This means that the attackers can attack several times. If the tickets are reduced to 0, the second wave of attacks comes, which then has the full number of tickets again.
- In addition, the attackers are then reinforced with a special ally: This is either a zeppelin, a train or a ship.
- The attackers can even man this reinforcement themselves, which is why you as a defender should ensure that he dies as quickly as possible.
- If you fail as a defender, you will also receive these reinforcements.
- In general, the disadvantageous team receives one of these reinforcements.
Tips for winning operations
- If a wave of attacks has gotten through, you must withdraw as a defender.
- Because if you submit a kill while the attackers are advancing, they will be given a ticket again. They get this for every defender who is killed in the enemy area.
- So if you are an attacker, you should use your squad to shoot down as many defenders as possible in your area.
- As a defender, you should withdraw quickly so as not to give your opponents the ticket advantage.
- It is also important to work with your squad here.
- Medics are particularly important as attackers. Because if you revive an ally as such, you will get the ticket for it again.
- Of course, as a medic, you shouldn't dash around the map like a madman and revive everything.
- Always make sure that the resuscitation is safe, i.e. if possible there are no enemies nearby
Squads in Battlefield 1
The ideal setup for a squad of 5 people is 2 medics, 1 support, 1 scout and 1 assault. So you've covered everything.
- Depending on the situation and the map, you can also do without the Scout entirely.
- Support is important because it can give you new ammunition. This is very important, especially when it comes to defense, because you can stay in cover with him.
- If you are defending a point, you should definitely be there with a medic and support.
- This is how you covered the essential needs of your squad: life and ammunition.
- The Assault would then be the ideal addition, since it can take care of enemy vehicles very well.
