Battlefield 4: the 5 best tips for conquest mode
In Battlefield 4 you can shine in different game modes. We give you tips on conquest fashion.
Battlefield 4: Walking in Conquest mode
As a foot soldier, you are an easy target for all vehicles. But playing without tanks also has advantages.
- On large maps you should definitely play in the squad. Because as a soldier you get back to the action faster and do not have to go alone.
- Use the function to spawn at Squadmates. Together you can do more and you are also directly on the battlefield.
- When your squadmates have died, you must try to stay alive until they can spawn again. If you die beforehand, you lose the Squadperks.
- You should always take at least one soldier from each class with you in a squad. The assault for healing, the pioneer for vehicle defense and the provider for sufficient ammunition. The recon is useful for the team because it can set up a "beacon" that serves as a mobile spawn point. Once set up, the Recon can also isolate itself from the team.
- You should avoid open areas on the map, because there you are an easy target for other soldiers and vehicles.
- If a vehicle is approaching and you are not a pioneer, you should hide well. Wait until the vehicle drives away or the driver gets out.
Battlefield 4: Conquest mode in the vehicle
On extensive maps, vehicles are not only helpful for bridging the way. A good driver can decide whether to win or lose.
- In general, you should always bring a vehicle from the spawn into play when a free one is available.
- As a beginner, it is often difficult to prevail against other drivers who have already unlocked several upgrades. It is therefore very practical that you as a passenger also unlock the upgrades for the vehicles.
- Select the pioneer class and equip the welding torch. Now look for an experienced driver and help him out as a passenger by repairing the vehicle under fire and mocking opponents. So you get points quickly and unlock the important updates.
- In the fight against vehicles, you should try to move towards the enemy in such a way that you see the enemy vehicle first.
- Shoot from a safe distance and switch to the offensive when your opponent fires back.
- Vehicles take significantly more damage from behind than from the front. Therefore, always put your vehicle with your nose to the opponent and at the same time try to catch it from behind.
Battlefield 4: The Airway in Conquest Mode
You can do a lot in the air with good flying skills.
- In the attack, you can deal a lot of damage with the helicopters. You should mainly focus on ground vehicles.
- Attacking individual soldiers only makes sense if they want to conquer a point on their own, or if you fire bazookas at them.
- With guided bazookas, you will hear a beep when aiming. However, you should only stop your "flares" when the beeping becomes a continuous tone.
- After you have dropped the "flares", you should seek cover behind a mountain so that you cannot be targeted a second time.
- The Scout helicopters can even be repaired in the air from the hold. With friendly friends, these helicopters become real fortresses.
- You should use the transport helicopters to drop players at a certain point. This way you can quickly reach and conquer points that are further away.
Conquest mode: the tasks of the individual classes
A round in conquest mode is easier to master if the individual classes fulfill their specific tasks.
- As a storm soldier, you should take your medication with you to keep other soldiers alive. As a healer, you are asked to keep up the attack wave, especially in highly competitive points.
- As an assault, you are also more effective as a foot soldier than in vehicles. Since the class does not have any equipment for vehicles, it only makes sense to get into vehicles to bring them to the battlefield and then leave them to pioneers.
- The provider and the recon are equipped with "C4". To defend against tanks, you should take the explosives with you so that they can be attached to the tank in tight spaces.
- As support, you are more at home on the battlefield. Ideally, you should team up with a pioneer to provide ammunition for the bazooka.
- When playing as a Recon, you shouldn't just be killing and lay listlessly on the edge of the map. Such behavior usually does not help the team. Too many snipers can even negatively impact the game if too few soldiers take care of capturing points.
- So put your "beacon" in a safe position and mark other players. That makes you an important member of the team.
- The pioneer is at the heart of Conquest mode. Since it is perfectly equipped for use in and around the vehicle, you should also play with it in vehicles. You should equip a welding torch and a PDW. This is perfect for close combat, in case you still have to leave your vehicle.
- Outside the vehicle you are packed with mines and a bazooka. Place mines on darker passages of a path so that your enemy is stopped as you advance.
Battlefield 4 - Conquest Mode: More game mode tips
Conquest is a very tactical mode. We give you the most important tips here.
- Start by trying to get as many points as you can as soon as possible. So split up in a team.
- If dots are scattered on a map, try to build a front line. You can do this by not winning points indiscriminately, but by creating a clear line that cannot be overrun.
- If at one point you are held by too much enemy fire, break out with a squad. Sneak past the troops to capture points behind them. So you loosen up the situation as several enemy soldiers pull out to get this point back.
- Taking the initiative is generally important when you realize that the team is stuck and can't move forward.
