Battlefield 4: The 5 best tips for recon
In this practical tip, we give you tips on how to recover in Battlefield 4.
Battlefield 4: Recon tips for ranged combat
The reconnaissance plane is mainly designed for long-range combat since it can use the sniper rifles.
- As a ranged fighter, you should of course carry a sniper. The SRR-61 is particularly suitable for long-range combat because it has the longest range.
- As a secondary weapon, carry a pistol with burst or auto-fire mode, such as the G18 or 93R. This gives you a good chance against enemies you want to take down in close combat.
- If you play on a map with vehicles and have a strong pilot in the opposing team, take the SOFLAM with you. It marks vehicles that can then be easily shot down by allied pioneers.
- You should also always have T-UGS with you. The kick sensors warn of enemies at an early stage.
Battlefield 4: Alignment for close combat
You can not only be active in ranged combat. You are also a useful team member in close combat.
- Take a carbine such as the G36C with you in close combat, as a sniper rifle is relatively difficult to control in close combat.
- You should also carry C4 in vehicle maps to switch off enemy vehicles.
- In addition, the beacon as a mobile spawn point is crucial for your squad. With the radio beacon set up you save your squad long distances.
- T-UGS only make sense if you place them in front of flags or M-COMs to identify opponents early on the minimap.
Tips on the tasks of the Recon
Each class is assigned specific tasks. Here we show you which you should take as a Recon.
- Mock enemies: As a scout, it is extremely important for your team that you mock opponents from a distance. This allows your team to predict the enemy's routes.
- Remove Sniper: As a Recon, you are a constant competitor to enemy scouts. If your team is plagued by a recon, it is your job to kill them or at least distract them with fire.
- Serve as a spawn point: With the radio fire, your squad can spawn closer to the enemy. So set up the beacon at a safe point for your team near the front.
- Stopping enemy waves: You can easily stop an enemy attack with targeted shots. After a few hits, the opponents will seek cover and will not advance further.
Battlefield 4: ensure survival
If you focus on the battlefield with your rifle, you are an easy target.
- Lie down in a position that can be reached by as few paths as possible.
- Place a T-UGS on the way to your later position. This device must be placed far enough away from your position to be able to react to an enemy on the minimap.
- If an enemy appears near you, watch their direction on the minimap.
- Then try to run around the enemy and catch them from behind, because in direct duels the enemy usually has an advantage.
- Since your position is shown to the killed teammate after each kill, you should change positions several times. A few meters is often enough as the enemy will look for you in the previous position.
- Also use a silencer to remain undetected. Without a silencer you will be shown on the minimap.
Recon class: what you should avoid.
- Pay attention to the rules the server has for popular sniper locations, such as cranes. Some servers prohibit such places because they bring an unfair advantage.
- Play as a team. If you isolate yourself from the group, this usually means a disadvantage for your team. Spotting enemies in particular should always be done.
- Before going to your sniper pitch, place your beacon in a position useful for your squad instead of using it for yourself.
- Spotting is also important to you because it helps you eliminate goals. Do not mock multiple targets by magnifying the weapon, but without the weapon. This allows you to mark several opponents at the same time.
