Battlefield 4: the 5 best rush mode tips
Rush mode in Battlefield 4 is the most tactically demanding game mode. We give you tips to decide the rounds for your team.
Battlefield 4: Rush Tips for Infantry
- As a foot soldier, you are very vulnerable when there are vehicles on the map. If you don't have a bazooka or C4 with you, you should stay away from the vehicles.
- Therefore, always observe the minimap to escape from arriving vehicles. In return, you must immediately mock enemy vehicles to make them visible to team members.
- The M-COM stations must be activated or deactivated by a foot soldier. As an attacker, always take the initiative, because the longer you hesitate to attack, the more tickets your team loses.
- It always makes sense to play in a team. You can usually do nothing alone. So always look for a squad.
- Support your comrades in the squad. Always try to have at least one assault soldier in the squad for healing and enough ammunition.
- If you are playing as a storm soldier, always carry a defibrillator and a medical kit. The defibrillator will bring you a ticket back after each resuscitation. You should generally revive every fallen team member in order to collect as many tickets as possible and thus new respawn chances.
Tips for vehicles in rush mode
You cannot activate M-COMs from vehicles, but vehicles are still extremely useful.
- Almost all vehicles have a machine gun with which you can take out opponents from the protected vehicle.
- Larger vehicles are very well suited to bring troops closer to an M-COM. If you are stuck as a foot soldier, start an attack with a vehicle.
- However, never leave a vehicle until you are certain that it will be destroyed. The vehicles can also be taken over by the opponent and then it is usually very difficult to win the round.
- Vehicles also serve as an effective distraction. Talk to the team, if necessary also in the chat, and drive into the opposing ranks. While they want to destroy the vehicle, another part of the team attacks an M-COM.
Successfully destroy M-COMs in Battlefield 4
As a foot soldier, you must arm the M-COMs and defend as long as possible so that they are destroyed.
- At the beginning of the round you should get to the M-COMs and activate them as soon as possible. Often the opponent has not yet taken a good position and is caught unawares.
- This also applies if you have destroyed the M-COMs and move to a new part of the card. Speed is often the key.
- Also try to arm both M-COMs at the same time. So the opponent cannot concentrate on one thing alone.
- Mock attacks are also a helpful tactic. Send a soldier or two to activate a station. These have to go through and activate the M-COM, after which they can settle. As soon as the opposing team storms towards this M-COM station, attack the others in large numbers and defend them as best you can.
- Defense is just as important as attacking a station: arming an M-COM alone is rarely successful because the opponent is outnumbered.
- After activating the M-Com, you have to take cover and prevent soldiers from disarming. As an attacker, you can also protect M-COMs with grenades or continuous fire with an LMG.
Defend M-COMs in Battlefield 4
- Talk to the team about who is blocking which routes. Attackers usually only come from 2-3 directions. Occupying them with 3 soldiers each helps with the defense. The other team members run a little in front of the positions to keep the wave of attack as far as possible in front of the M-COMs.
- Mocking opponents is very important here, because this way you can estimate an attack in advance.
- As a defender, always stay as close as possible to the M-COMs. Since the timer is quite short, you have to react immediately.
- Before disarming activated M-COMs, however, you should make sure that no opponent is waiting for you right next to them: when you deactivate them, you are a very easy target.
- Teamwork is also important when disarming. Standing in front of the M-COM with several people often costs everyone's life. Better protect the soldier who disarms the station.
Don'ts: What to avoid in rush mode
Many styles of play are not conducive to victory and discredit you and your team. Below are tactics that you should skip.
- The sniper class is often responsible for making you lose a round. If too many team members play snipers in attack mode, too few soldiers remain to destroy M-COMs. As an attacker, you should generally avoid the Recon class, because apart from isolated kills you can hardly do anything.
- "Playing on kills" is the next fatal point. Rush mode is not designed to get as many kills as possible. For this reason, forget your "K / D rate" in this mode and concentrate only on the M-COMs.
- You are also wrong in rush mode if you generally prefer to play alone. Individual campaigns are very rarely successful. As a team, you are more valuable here.
- As a Battlefield 3 player, you should leave out smoke ammunition in Battlefield 4. The secret weapon for rush mode has become useless due to too thin smoke in Battlefield 4. Medic equipment is much more useful.
- As an attacker, after destroying the M-COMs, you shouldn't wait for enemies to retreat. The attack on the new M-COMs is more important for victory than 2-3 kills on the scoreboard.
- Fair play is not a matter of course for all players. However, avoid placing C4 or Claymores right next to the M-COMs.
