Battlefield 4: change language - how it works
In Battlefield 4, you can change the language with just a few clicks. Find out exactly what you have to do here.
Battlefield 4 change language via registry
To change the language from English to German or vice versa in the first person shooter Battlefield 4, follow these steps:
- Open the Windows registry. In Windows 7, click the start button, enter "regedit" in the search field and press "OK". You are already in the registry.
- Open the path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / SOFTWARE / EA Games / Battflefield 4 /".
- Here you will find the "GDFBinary" file. If you want to set BF4 in English, add the ending "_en_US.dll". For the German language changes you need the ending "_de_DE.dll".
- Then double click on the "locale" file and change the value there to "en_US" or "de_DE".
- You now experience Battlefield 4 in English or German!
Xbox and Playstation
As a console owner, you can also change the language.
- Playstation: In the settings under "System language" you change the language of your console and thus also of Battlefield 4.
- Xbox: You also have to change the system language on the Microsoft console. The setting on the Xbox is called "console language".
