Beamer shows white dots - what to do?
You can bring the cinema experience directly into the living room with a projector - however, if white dots appear in the picture, this is very annoying. In this practical tip, we show what you can do about it.
Beamer shows white dots - that may be the reason
Use the following tips to get the home cinema experience back:
- First, take a look at the cable. In the event of a cable break or other defect, you should replace it.
- You should also make sure that the connections on the cable and the projector are intact. The best way to find out is to connect the cable to another device or another cable to your projector.
- Then check the lens of the projector. It may be dirty with dust, which is why white dots appear.
- Then pull the power plug from the projector and take a look inside. Perhaps the projector's lamp is defective or there is another hardware defect.
- In this case, you can contact your manufacturer's customer support, as this defect can often be handled under the guarantee.
- In the best case, there is only a defect in the so-called DLP chip, which is responsible for the color control of the projector.
- You can get a suitable spare part for little money, for example on eBay.
- However, if you are not sure, you should consult a professional.
