Beamer too dark - you can do that
You may be familiar with the problem: A movie night is canceled because the projector is simply too dark. There are many reasons why this can happen. In this practical tip, we will show you which they are.
Reason # 1: projector too dark due to defective lamp
- The most common problem is that the lamp has been around for many hours and it can happen that it simply breaks the next time it is switched on. This is often the case with used projectors.
- To avoid this, you should protect the lamp and generally be careful if you buy a used projector. This could have been running for a long time and could therefore be prone to failures. In another practical tip, we show what you should pay attention to when using a projector.
- If the lamp has only been running for a few hours and still appears significantly darker, it may be a defect. On the other hand, there is not much you can do except replace the lamp with a non-defective one.
Reason # 2: Beamer has the wrong settings
- It can also happen that the settings are wrong and you accidentally dimmed the picture.
- Try to configure the projector so that the picture is not too dark or too bright. You should use the instructions for this.
If the projector is noticeably loud when you are watching a film, we can tell you why.
