Log out of Facebook - how it works
Many users do not agree with the Facebook data protection regulations and would like to log out of the social network. We'll tell you what to do.
How to log out of Facebook
If you want to turn your back on time wasters and data protection octopus Facebook, you can do this in a number of ways.
- You can permanently delete your data, which means that your account will be irretrievably lost. We'll show you how in the video below.

Log out of Facebook - so it'll work
However, if you want to know how you can only temporarily log out of your account, proceed as follows. In particular, if you often log on to other devices, you should always log out of Facebook. Otherwise, third parties could continue to use your session and possibly misuse it.
- In the blue header on the far right you will find a small triangle pointing downwards.
- When you click on it, a drop-down menu will appear. In the third section, select the "Logout" button. This deletes the session cookie and the browser "forgets" your login.
- Tip: In the same dropdown menu, under "Settings"> "Security" you will find a menu called "From where you log in". Here you can see on which devices you are currently logged in. If you discover a device that is foreign to you, you can log out of the device with the button "End activity".
