Sign up for LinkedIn - you have to be aware of that
If you want to use LinkedIn to establish or maintain business contacts, you must first register. We'll show you how to fill out your profile correctly.
LinkedIn: Create and set up an account
- First open the LinkedIn website and enter the requested data. If you are offered to search for other contacts by email address, you should accept the offer.
- Such a search function is also offered on other social networks and does not really have the best reputation. However, contacts are extremely important on LinkedIn, so you should contact anyone you can find. Later you can also search for contacts by name at any time.
- Once you have confirmed your email address, you will have access to your account. However, your profile is barely completed. To do this, click on "Edit profile" in the upper left under "Profile". Fill in all the information here if possible, provided the disclosure of the information is also worthwhile for you.
- Last but not least, you should also have a look in the settings. To do this, move your mouse over your profile photo at the top right and select the "Privacy & Settings" item. Among other things, you can deactivate the numerous mail notifications here.
