Delete user account under Windows 8 - how it works

If you have a user account on your Windows 8 PC that is no longer required, you can delete it in just a few steps. User data can even be saved and moved to your own desktop.
Remove old user account in Windows 8
Account management is part of the "Control Panel":
- Go to the administrator's account on the start screen and search for "user accounts" in the settings. Click on the "Remove User Accounts" tile.
- Here you can see all the accounts that are set up on the PC. Select the account you want to remove, then click "Delete Account".
- Now you can choose whether you want to save or discard the files contained in the user folders. Click on the desired option.
- Then confirm again by clicking on "Delete account" and the user will be removed from the system.
