View authorizations of apps with on-board resources
You can easily view the permissions of apps on your smartphone using on-board means. We show where you can find them.
View app authorizations with on-board resources
Anyone who installs apps from the Google Play Store often clicks away the short authorization display. If you want to see what permissions individual apps have later, the application manager will help you.
- Call up the settings on your smartphone.
- Depending on the manufacturer's essay, select the menu item "Apps" or "Application Manager".
- Tap an app whose permissions you want to see.
- Scroll all the way down. Under "Permissions" you will find the individual points.
- If you tap a single authorization, a pop-up window explains what the authorization means in detail and what content on your smartphone it accesses.
Revoke and manage permissions
With Android 4.3 and 4.4, you specifically remove individual authorizations from your apps. To do this, you must first enable the function in the menu with the "App Ops" app.
More app alternatives
If you don't have Android 4.3 or 4.4 yet, you can also manage the rights using other apps. To do this, use the free applications "PermissionDog" or "Advances Permission Manager". Root is not required.
Another practical tip shows you the meaning of app permissions in general.
