There are a few helpful tricks to help you get a clear view again quickly.
- If you have to wipe the misted up window, it is best to use a suitable cleaning sponge. This prevents streaks, and the sponge also has very good absorbency.
- To prevent your window from fogging up again, switch on the heating and air conditioning system - aim them at the car windows.
- Then let fresh air into the interior through the windows, so that the moist air escapes from the car.
Prevent fogged windows
To prevent your car windows from fogging up in the future, we recommend using the following tricks.
- You should open the car windows shortly before arrival. This allows the remaining moist air to escape.
- Do not store wet objects in the vehicle. At best, take your floor mats with you at night.
- In autumn, leaves and Co. often accumulate in the water tank. Rainwater can therefore collect better and work into the interior. At best, you should therefore clean the water tank and its drain regularly.
- Look for defective rubber seals, these can quickly cause moisture in the vehicle.
- If the cabin filter can no longer work properly, air humidity is increasingly building up in your car. At best, have the filter replaced.
Dehumidifier sack against fogged windows
In addition, you can put a so-called "Air Dryer" in front of the windshield. This sucks the excess moisture out of the air and thus permanently prevents fogged windows.
- You can easily make such a dehumidifier yourself.
- To do this, simply fill an old sock with cat litter and then knot it again.
- The litter effectively sucks the moisture out of the air and you have a clear view.
