Store bedding: tips & ideas
In order for you to be able to store bed linen correctly, various things are important. Sheets, covers and pillowcases should be quickly recognizable, but also take up as little space as possible. You can find some suggestions in this article.
Cupboards & chests of drawers: storage of bed linen
Most people use closets or drawers to store their bedding. With both, however, the question arises: how do you best store the bedding?
- You can place all duvet covers folded in cupboards and chests of drawers in the classic way. You can also roll up fitted sheets that turn out to be unruly.
- Are the stacks in the closet too confusing for you? Then put the bedding upright in a transparent box that you can easily take out of the closet. The upright position gives you a better overview of the bed linen.
- Instead, you can also store bed linen that belongs together. Use the pillow case as a pocket for the duvet and possibly a suitable sheet. So you can tell from the pillow immediately which set it is and you can easily take it out of the closet.
- A bedding box also provides the ideal storage space for your bedding.
- A bench with storage space at the end of the bed is also pretty and practical. You can put blankets and pillows in it and always have it close to your bed.
No more space? How to remedy the situation
Do you have a lot of bed linen and no more space in your closets to store it? Then it is a good idea to store the bed linen seasonally.
- Pack only light and airy bed linen in the closet during the summer.
- You can store the rest of the bedding in a storage bag or a vacuum bag under the bed, in the attic or in the basement, for example, until it gets cooler and you change the bedding.
