Black out part of the picture - so proceed
To blacken sensitive data in an image, you can use the in-house paint. We show you how to protect your private data in three easy steps.
Blacken the image section with paint
Paint is preinstalled on every Windows PC. You can find the tool by clicking on the Windows button (formerly "Start") and entering "Paint".
- First open the image in question in Paint.
- Select the rectangle in the "Shapes" and under "Fill" the option "Monochrome".
- Choose black twice as the colors and you can drag individual boxes over the private data.
Alternatively, you can make the data unrecognizable with Paint.net.
