Animate pictures online
If you want to animate an image, but don't want to download expensive programs or try freeware, you can use various online tools.
- You can create an animated picture particularly easily if you display several pictures in quick succession.
- This principle, which we all know from flipbooks, can also be applied to the digital world. Here the flipbook is called "animated GIF".
- There are many online tools available to create such a GIF. In another practical tip, we will show you the best ways to create GIF images online.
- With the portals presented there (such as imgflip.com) you can upload several individual images, from which an animated image is then created, which you can download.
Animate images with FotoMorph
Another option to animate images is the free program "FotoMorph", which you can download here for free.
- After you have installed and started "FotoMorph", you can choose between different effects.
- You can choose between "Morph" (transition between two images), "Warp" (deformation of two images) and "Pan" (zoom or pan in the image area).
- Especially with the "Warp" effect you can achieve great results and, for example, make a person smile.
- How you use the individual effects is simply shown using a sample project that you open by clicking on the button of the same name.
- You can then save the result as a video or GIF.
Animate images with After Effects
The program "Adobe After Effects" is an absolute professional tool for animating images.
- If you own the expensive program, there are numerous ways to animate pictures.
- As a beginner, it is particularly easy to use the "liquefy effect". Drag your picture into the timeline and add the effect via "Effects -> Distort -> Liquify".
- You must then press the [E] key while you have marked the image. In the opened track, click on "Liquify" and then on the small clock that is displayed next to the "Distortion grid" track.
- Now you only have to move the cursor to the end of the image and then you can select any options in the "Effects Settings" on the left to edit your image.
