Copy images out of PDF: Here's how
Anyone can open and view PDF files, but copying images is not that easy. We'll show you how this works in any case.
How to copy images from PDF files
First download the free Adobe Reader to your computer and open the document. There are two ways to copy graphics as an image file:
- Left-click and then right-click the image. When the Adobe Reader recognizes the image, the context menu "Copy image" opens.
- Possibility: Open the "Edit" menu and click on "Take a snapshot". Then use the left mouse button to draw up a picture frame whose content is to be saved as a graphic file. The blue colored area is copied to the clipboard as soon as you release the mouse button.
Now you can paste the image into an image editing program like "Gimp" or "Paint" or of course also in OpenOffice and Word (Ctrl + V) and save it.
