Insert images directly into email text
You do not necessarily have to send pictures in e-mails in the attachment, but you can also insert them directly into the text. We show you the two easiest ways to do this in this article.
Insert image in email - the advantages
- The recipient sees the picture directly while reading. You can position the picture where you want it.
- The recipient does not have to open the attachment and download the file.
Possibility 1: Paste picture via copy & paste
- Open the picture in Explorer.
- Click on it with the right mouse button and select "Copy" in the context menu.
- Return to your email program and your message.
- Left-click where you want to insert the picture.
- Right-click to open the context menu and select "Paste".
Possibility 2: insert picture via e-mail menu
If you cannot get along with the copy / paste method, there is still the direct way through your email program.
- Click the left mouse button in the message where you want to insert the image.
- At the top of the menu, go to "File>" Attach "or" Paste "(see picture). Other mail providers may even have an icon for inserting pictures.
- Depending on the email program, the names are also slightly different. You will now usually find the term "graphic" or "from file".
- In the new window, navigate to your photo and insert it with a double click.
- The picture will now be inserted in the position you specified in the mail.
