Change image size in Paint - Here's how
If you edit an image in Microsoft Paint and want to change the image size, it's easy. Read here what steps you need to follow.
Paint: Change the image size with the number of pixels
If you have a specific specification for the image size, such as 500x500 pixels, you can easily change the size of your images in Paint.
- After you have opened the image in Paint and edited it, click on "Change size" in the top bar under Start to set the image size.
- In the window you can then choose whether you want to change the image by a certain percentage or to a certain pixel size. You should check "Keep aspect ratio", otherwise the image will be distorted.
- Once you have entered the desired size in the fields, confirm with "OK" to change the image size.
Paint: Change image size to centimeters or inches
If you prefer to determine the image size by the size in centimeters or inches instead of the number of pixels, simply do so in the properties of the image:
- Open the menu by clicking on the blue icon in the top left corner. There you select "Properties" (see screenshot).
- Then click on "inches" or "cm" and enter the desired values to which the image size should be changed. Confirm with OK".
