Screen transfer with Skype - so it'll work
If you want to share your screen with friends or colleagues, you can start a screen transfer with Skype. We'll show you how it's done.
Windows 10: Transfer screen on Skype
Under Windows 10, you can only use Skype as an app, the operation there is different than with the program version. If you are still using the older version of Skype, follow the instructions in the next paragraph.
- Select the desired contact in Skype and call him.
- As soon as the conversation begins, you can click on the button with the three dots below.
- Select the "Transfer screen" option here. The contact now sees what is happening on your computer.
- You can end the transmission again using the same button.
How to start screen transfer on Skype
The screen transfer also works with the free account on Skype.
- Start Skype.
- You must be on an active call to start screen sharing.
- Click on the "plus" symbol below while you are on the phone.
- Then click on "Screen transfer ...".
- You can now use the arrow at the bottom left to choose whether the entire screen or only a certain section should be transmitted.
- To start the screen transfer, click "Start".
- As soon as you want to end the transmission, click on the "End transmission" button.
