Remove Bing from IE - Here's how it works
If you do not want to use the Bing search or start page in Internet Explorer, you can simply remove it. We show you step by step how to do this.
Delete Bing Search from Internet Explorer
The following instructions remove Bing as the default search engine. If Bing has also been set as the start page, follow these instructions.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right and select the item "Manage add-ons".
- Go to the "Search Provider" category on the left and select the "Bing" entry.
- Click on the links "Disable suggestions" and "Disable top results in the address bar".
- Also deactivate the option "Search in address bar and search field on the new tab".
- The Bing search is now completely deactivated. Alternatively, you can right-click Bing on the "Remove" entry.
- Note: If no other search engine is set up, Bing cannot be removed. On the following website from IE you can add Google as a new search.
