Remove Bing search engine from Chrome browser via Settings
The start page can be entered manually in the settings of the Chrome browser. In addition, you also manage the search engines that are used in the browser. How to remove Bing as a search engine:
- In the Chrome browser, click the menu icon at the top right and select "Settings".
- Scroll down to "Search" and click on "Manage Search Engines".
- In the pop-up window, remove the Bing search engine using the cross at the end of the line and click "Done".
Remove Bing search engine from Control Panel
If the Bing search engine is still available in the browser, it is very likely that a Conduit search bar has also been installed. The best way to remove them is via the Control Panel. Here's how it works:
- In Windows, select "Control Panel"> "Uninstall Programs" from the Start menu.
- Look for Conduit's "Search Protect" in the listing.
- Click on the program and select the uninstall button above.
- The Bing search engine should now have disappeared from the Chrome browser at the latest.
