Blackberry Priv Slider: What can the smartphone do?
- With the Blackberry Priv, the Canadian company is launching a chic and quite large slider smartphone on the market. The first pictures appeared on a Vietnamese website.
- Blackberry has already announced that it will test Android for Blackberry smartphones, and the Blackberry Priv will probably be the first model. The current Android 5.1 alias Lollipop is used. According to the pictures, Blackberry is strongly based on the stock Android, but a separate multitasking overview was developed.
- The display of the Blackberry Priv (Venice) Slider is a 5.4-inch QHD display that is rounded on both sides. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 with 1.8 GHz is used as processor. The RAM is 3 gigabytes.
- The camera has an optical image stabilizer and is said to have a resolution of 18 megapixels. At the top are SIM and microSD slots. The typical BlackBerry keyboard reveals itself when you slide the display upwards, as is typical for a Slider.
Release & costs of the Blackberry Priv Slider
- The Blackberry Priv was released on November 6th in the USA and was sold out after only a few hours. Thousands of buyers are currently on waiting lists. The Priv Slider is available in the US for $ 699.
- Other current models such as the Blackberry Passport cost between 630 and 650 euros at the market launch. The Blackberry Priv can be pre-ordered in Germany from Amazon for 779 euros.
