Bloodborne: redistribute points - how it works
After each level increase, you can invest points in Bloodborne. We will tell you in our article whether you can redistribute them.
Redistribute points in Bloodborne
There was a lot of speculation until the release of Bloodborne - but so far you can't redistribute your points.
- Unlike in other modern role-playing games, your decisions in Bloodborne are final.
- Therefore, make yourself familiar with your character and the game before you distribute your points.
- The so-called "soft caps" are particularly important here. "Soft Cap" - English for "soft limit" - means that points above this limit have a reduced effect.
- The "hard cap" - the "hard limit" - determines how many points you can invest in this property.
- For example, vitality has a soft limit at 30 points and a hard limit at 50 points. For example, if you invest 31 points, the last point has a much weaker effect than the 30 before.
- Nevertheless, it can be worthwhile later in the game if you invest points beyond the soft cap, since even small bonuses can help.
Bloodborne: primary stats, points and caps
Each time you level up, you can invest one point in one of six status values. Since you cannot withdraw the points, you should take a close look at each category:
- Vitality gives you more life points and makes you more resilient. The soft cap is 30, the hard cap is 50 points. In general, vitality is always a good choice because it allows you to survive longer in any situation.
- With perseverance you increase your stamina and your resistance. That also increases your chances of survival. The soft cap is 40 points.
- With more strength, you deal more physical damage and can use new equipment. The soft cap is 25, the hard cap 50 points.
- Dexterity also affects your weapon damage. You also need the property for certain pieces of equipment. Here too, soft and hard caps are 25 and 50 points, respectively.
- Blood staining affects weapons that use mercury ammunition and unlocks items at higher values. Again, the caps are 25 and 50 points.
- Arcane affects your Arcane Attack Damage and affects your variety of equipment. As with the other aggressive stocks, the caps are at 25 and 50.
- Be sure to watch out for the soft caps early in the game and try not to break them too early to get the most out of your points.
- You should also concentrate on a few of the six values. For example, vitality and endurance are always worthwhile, of the other four, it is best to choose one or two characteristics.
