BlueStacks doesn't work: You can do that
The Bluestacks app player lets you play Android apps on your computer. Find out what you can do if BlueStacks doesn't work here.
The Android emulator Bluestacks is not working - what you can do:
- First try to reboot your computer. BlueStacks requires a lot of RAM and a restart ends processes running in the background.
- Speaking of background processes: Alternatively, try to deactivate processes individually by pressing the key combination CTRL + ALT + DEL.
- The app player BlueStacks has been in beta for a long time and is therefore very susceptible to crashes and other errors.
- Therefore, check whether you still have the latest version of BlueStacks installed. Otherwise an update will surely fix the error when starting the Android emulator.
- Another important tip: BlueStacks requires an American keyboard, which can be very annoying. For example, the "Y" and the "Z" are swapped. You can also switch your keyboard to the American one.
There are also alternatives to BlueStacks: You will find three good ones in our next CHIP practical tip.
