Cancel Booking.com booking - is that possible?
A booking made on Booking.com cannot always be canceled. Whether you can withdraw from your booking depends on the hotel and offer booked. We'll tell you what you need to know about Booking.com cancellations.
Cancel booking on Booking.com - important information
- General: You can cancel a booking with Booking.com via the "My Booking" portal on the official website.
- It depends on the regulations of the respective hotel or room whether and with what costs you can cancel your booking. These provisions can always be found on the offer page of Booking.com:
- 1. Select the hotel you want and scroll down to the "Good to know" section. Here you will find the general cancellation conditions. In some cases you will see the note "The cancellation and prepayment conditions vary depending on the room category."
- 2. Scroll up to the hotel's specific room offers. Here you will find information about possible cancellations in the "Provisions" column (see picture). As a rule, a distinction is made here between free and paid cancellations.
- As can be seen in the picture, you can call up the complete cancellation conditions by moving the mouse over the question mark symbol in the "Conditions" column. Here it is noted when you can cancel the room free of charge and what costs are incurred if you want to cancel the offer after this period.
- In general: Particularly cheap savings offers usually have limited cancellation options. Here you often have to pay for the first night in full or in part.
- Tip: You can also contact Booking.com directly if you have any further questions.
