Label envelopes with Open Office - how it works
With Open Office you can label envelopes to send serial letters or to give your envelope a serious look. We'll tell you how it works.
Label envelopes with Open Office
Envelopes often have a different format than the usual A4. That's why Open Office offers a function to label envelopes appropriately, regardless of the page format of the other pages.
- Open the Open Office Writer and navigate in the menu bar via "Insert", "Envelope ..." to the menu in which you can design the envelopes.
- Enter the addressee's data and, if necessary, a sender address in the »Envelope« tab. You can type in the data manually or insert it from an integrated database.
- Under the "Format" tab, you can specify the format of your envelope in the "Size" area. You also determine the font, font size and formatting for the "Recipient" and "Sender" areas.
- Under »Printer« you inform the writer in which orientation you are placing the envelopes in the printer.
- With a click on "Insert" your text document is preceded by an address page with which you can print on your envelope.
- The addresses are fixed at the specified positions. This way you stay in the right place, even if you change address data.
- If you only want to print the envelope and no other pages of the document, be sure to print only page 1 in the "Print" menu.
