Browser error: Request Entity Too Large - you can do that
If the "Request Entity Too Large" error occurs in your browser, there is usually a problem with your saved cookies. We show you how to fix the error in all common browsers and get back to the desired websites.
Request Entity Too Large: Fix Chrome errors
If the problem occurs with Google Chrome, you can fix it yourself with a few clicks:
- Click on the icon with the three horizontal bars at the top right of the browser.
- There you select the menu item "Settings".
- In the new tab, scroll down a bit and click on the "Show advanced settings" link.
- In the "Privacy" section, select the "Content settings" option and then "All cookies and website data".
- Now enter the name of the affected website in the search field at the top right. For example, if the error occurs at "Gmx.de", enter "gmx" there. Then click on "Remove all displayed elements" to delete the faulty cookies.
- If this does not solve the error, you should delete all browser data.
Request Entity Too Large: Troubleshoot Firefox
The error message "Request Entity Too Large" can also appear under Mozilla Firefox. Eliminate the faulty cookies in order to be able to call up the desired website again:
- To do this, click on the icon with the three bars in the upper right corner and select the "Settings".
- In the new window, switch to the "Privacy" tab.
- There, click on the "Delete individual cookies" link in the "History" section.
- Then enter the name of the website on which the problem occurs in the search field. For example, for "Web.de" enter "Web". Then click on the "Remove all cookies" button.
- If the problem persists, you need to take more drastic measures and delete all browser data.
Request Entity Too Large: Fix problem in other browsers
